downthashore

I hope everyone had a great weekend! We went to the Jersey shore, or downthashore, as they say here. We had hoagies from our new fav Aversa’s Italian Bakery and donuts from Junior’s Donuts and Dogs. Three words to remember, folks, if ever you find yourself on the bay side of Margate, New Jersey, before 11 a.m.: Jelly donut, please. Yum! They’re unbelievable!

We also logged several hours on the beach, and I have two burnt knees (which I missed with my SPF70, thank you very much, sunscreen) to show for it. Alas! Now I’m back to my very difficult existence of being unemployed in Philadelphia. How will I ever fill the time? Maybe I’ll read some more of this. It’s excellent!
