Here’s a bit of perfection for your Friday, lovelies. I took it as a sign that I should share when Lily mentioned designer Elie Saab on the episode of Gossip Girl that I watched last night. If I weren’t already married, I’d marry this dress.
And this? This made me want to weep, it’s so gorgeous. Every bit of it.

Have you guys seen these Mar Y Sol bags? I feel like I might be a little behind the curve, because the name faintly rings a bell. I was doing a little exploring on Sansom Street, and I found this really cute shop, Verde. You’ll never guess what they have in the back of the shop. Wait for it…wait for it…AN ARTISANAL CHOCOLATE FACTORY! Okay, so it’s more of a kitchen than a factory, but you get the picture—they make chocolate there. More on that another day.
Back to the bag at hand. I love the Opal multi-colored clutch, which also comes in seven solid colors. I’d like one of each! Mar Y Sol describes itself as a “socially responsible accessories brand that collaborates with artists in New York and artisans in Madagascar. I’m not sure what that means exactly, and I typically take these claims with a grain of salt. But! they very well may be doing good, AND they make really cute bags. Bonus! I was inspired today by my friend Jen‘s assertion that everyone needs a pair of skin-toned heels. I did a quick search and I’ve decided – these are the ones! They’re a little pricey, they only have three sizes left (none of which are mine), and I’m not at all sure I could wear such a high heel…but aren’t they pretty?

Aren’t they pretty? Several of them are far too dressy for any occasion I am likely to have in the near future, but they were too gorgeous to leave out. I noticed that there are a lot of neutrals, but the details of the dresses add flair. Look at that feather number! Love the drama! This last one is silk and it has a beautiful dipped back a la gowns of the 1930s. Even if I had the money to burn, I don’t think you can wear white to wedding, can you?
This is what I would buy if I had a full-time gig right now. Sigh…
