business cards are here!

I have a freelancing gig tomorrow, and I thought it might be nice to have business cards to distribute. I ordered some last week from Avis at Avie Designs, and I received them in the mail today, along with a sweet note written on her cute Banner Thank You cards. (Such a nice touch. I cannot abide a package sent without a personal note, even if it’s written on a Post-it note. Ask my mom.)

I think they’re gorgeous! I’m really happy with the design and that they are printed on a nice, firm card stock. They’re also ridiculously affordable at $15 for 48 cards. Check out her shop on Etsy (which is where I originally found her) or on her own website, which is where I ultimately bought these. I can’t wait to paper the town!

What do you guys think?

we moved, an announcement

I’m thinking about sending out moving announcements since we’ve moved twice in the last year. And when I say we’ve moved twice in the last year, I mean we have literally lived in three different locations in the last 365 days – two different apartments and one townhouse. I know. It’s ridiculous. We traded our fifteenth floor one bedroom near the Pentagon for a three-bedroom townhouse a few miles down the road. Then Steve decided to change careers and voila!, here we are. Anyway…back to the task at hand, moving announcements. Here are a few of my favs:
